Latin Name: Acer negundo L.

Common Name: Box Elder

General Description: Small tree, often with more than a single trunk, usually reaching a height of no more than about 10 m (33 feet).

Geographical Distribution: Found throughout eatern North America and also extending into Canada.

Ecological Distribution: Usually occuring along streams and in low, moist areas but also found throughout disturbed forests at lower elevations.

Mycorrhizal Status: Endomycorrhizal
