Common Name: Red Maple

General Description: Medium to large tree, often usually reaching a height of 15 m (50 feet).

Geographical Distribution: Found throughout all of eastern North America and also extending into Canada.

Ecological Distribution: Occurring in a wide range of different types of situations, ranging from low wet areas to rather dry uplands. Found in all types of forests.

Mycorrhizal Status: Endomycorrhizal
